As an Officer of the Chrysler Corporation, Mr. Damoose had a distinguished 23 year career in the automobile industry; 10 years with the Ford Motor Company, and the remaining with Chrysler. At Chrysler, John was Lee Iacocca's Vice President of Marketing and head of all three of Chrysler's car and truck brands. As such, he played a major role in leading one of the greatest "turnarounds" in corporate history. He initiated dynamic marketing campaigns, including the extensive use of Lee Iacocca and breakthrough Jeep and Chrysler advertising, that were critical to the rebuilding of that great American institution.

During his automotive career, Mr. Damoose received numerous awards including being named among Advertising Age's Top 100 Marketing Executives in America, and twice being named to the Automotive News' Top 20 Industry Leaders.

Mr. Damoose received a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University.

After a tour of duty with the Central Intelligence Agency, and his years in the automobile business, Mr. Damoose left in 1993 to form a foundation and work extensively with international humanitarian and faith-based organizations.  He worked with International Family Entertainment (The Family Channel) and helped direct the Christian Broadcasting Network, Operation Blessing and Regent University.

Ultimately, Mr. Damoose left to create 45 North Communications with his son – a full-service marketing and film production company.  45 North has since produced groundbreaking documentaries and award winning film and video productions on a host of subjects in India, China, Cuba, Cambodia, Vietnam, East Africa and America for a wide range of corporate and non-profit clients and sponsors across the country.

Mr. Damoose has served on the Boy Scouts of America National Board of Directors, the USO World Board of Governors, the Board of Trustees of Regent University, and numerous corporate and non-profit boards.

Mr. Damoose and his family have been life-long students of diverse cultures and unique geographic locales throughout the world.  As an avid skier and outdoorsman, he has traveled extensively to some of the most remote locations in the world.  His personal and professional interests in film and video work have taken him from the high Himalayas and Kilimanjaro to extensive travel through India, China, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Caribbean and Africa. 

Married for 42 years to Nancy, Mr. Damoose has four children and resides with his family in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
